Read it together
One piece of knowledge, opened with other readers instead of alone in a tab.
About us
When we were studying in B-school, case studies were supposed to be exciting. You’d take one piece of knowledge, read it together, and then bring your own perspectives to discuss, debate and understand it deeply.
quoted via theconversation · How your conscious and unconscious mind interact
IIT suggests that there are gradients of consciousness. The degree and complexity of integration between brain regions determines how “much” consciousness an organism has.

So the unconscious is doing more of the reading than we are?

How it started
What if everything you read could become that room?
So much fun and social bonding, all from reading and learning together. So we thought, what if every piece of information we read could become this kind of experience?
What if you could read things you genuinely care about with other readers, research deeper, quote passages, share perspectives and keep going down the rabbit hole? And what if every little thing you did while reading not only helped build your reputation, but also added more depth to the information itself?
That’s how Philonet started. We’re building it for the curious reader in you and in all of us, to make reading, critical thinking and learning a social experience.
One piece of knowledge, opened with other readers instead of alone in a tab.
Quote a passage, ask a better question, and go further down the rabbit hole.
The thinking stays with the information, and it becomes part of how you’re known.
Who it’s for
Philonet is built for people who are naturally curious and love to be intellectually challenged. Those who read deeply, think critically, ask better questions, go down rabbit holes and enjoy discussing things in depth with like-minded people.
We’re invite-only because the quality of the community matters as much as the content. We want every person on Philonet to bring something interesting to the table. A community small enough to feel personal and curious enough to keep surprising you.
You don’t discover people because they’re popular. You discover them because they make you think, around the things you actually care about.
On Philonet it isn’t how much you post. It’s what you’ve spent time thinking about: what you read, the questions you ask, the discussions you join.
